Arrival in Belgium by plane:
- You can take a taxi, but make sure the taxi driver takes you to the National Botanic Garden in MEISE and not in Brussels! The fare from the airport to the Botanic Garden costs about 32 to 42 €. If you wish to pay by credit card, check beforehand whether your taxi driver accepts it.
- You can go by bus 821 (direction Merchtem). Ask the driver to stop at 'Meise Boechtstraat'. You can buy a ticket from the driver. The trip will take at least 1 hour and you arrive NOT at the main entrance but at the entrance B (Meise-village) , so you will have to walk about 1 km to the main building.
- You can go by train to Brussels. It will take about 15 min to Brussels North. In the Brussels North station you can catch the bus 250 (direction Puurs) or 251 (direction Malderen) asking to stop at 'Meise Plantentuin' and you will get out in front of the main gate of the Botanic Garden.
Arrival in Belgium by train:
Eurostar and Thalys have their terminal in Brussels South railway station (Midi station). Belgian Railways can take you to Brussels North railway station. There is a bus connection to the Garden (250 and 251 buses). You can also take the subway from the Midi to the North Station.

How to reach Botanical Garden in Meise from Tervuren:
There are several possibilities, but they all take quite long time! It will take around two hours to reach Meise from Tervuren, so it is preferably that you take theBHL-bus!
- take the tram 44 at the terminal station near Museum and get out at Mongomery (terminal for the tram 44 in Brussels). Take the subway line 1 to the station Art Loi/Kunst Wet, change to the line 2/6 direction Simonis (Elisabeth) and get out at the Rogier station. Then you have to walk 500 m to the North Sation. In the Brussels North station you can catch the bus 250 (direction Puurs) or 251 (direction Malderen) asking to stop at 'Meise Plantentuin' and you will get out in front of the main gate of the Botanic Garden.
- take the tram 44 from Tervuren to Montgomery, then take subway line 1 from Montgomery to Beekkant (direction Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation), then subway line 6 from Beekkant (platform just in front) to Roi Baudouin/Koning Boudewijn (terminus) (embark preferably in the last wagon). Go out the station via the escalator, cross the street and take bus 250/251 to Botanical Garden.
- another solution is to phone to someone of organizers to pick you up from there. This will take 1.30 hour!
