Macaw on the Web

The BHL version of Macaw "in the cloud" is hosted by the Smithsonian Libraries and can be found at:
http://macaw.library.si.edu/

Requesting an Account

  1. You must first create an Internet Archive account
  2. Contact Bianca (crowleyb@si.edu) to get permission to add to the "biodiversity" collection. You do not necessarily need your own collection in IA.
  3. Retrieve your Internet Archive API Key and Secret Key
  4. Request an account for Macaw via https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1f2sRq8bkHHgIAXvKKrkMFV86oTlh0TsC70m3qA4hzBg/viewform we will create your account and send you further instructions.

Documentation

The documentation for Macaw are presented as Google Docs for ease of updating and collaboration. Though there is a lot here, they are incomplete and are still very much a "work in progress." If you find inconsistencies or have questions, please contact Joel at the email address below.
