Charge: Biodiversity Heritage Library Staff share the collaborative responsibility for the daily operation, improvement, and promotion of the BHL as related to the
mission and goals of the Library and its participating institutions. Staff participate in project communications, including monthly conference calls, BHL's issue tracking system, and various outreach and engagement activities. Staff are responsible for the digitization, discoverability and maintenance of content contributed to the BHL repository by its participating institutions.

- Flickr updates to dashboard, can make changes via title and item IDs. ItemID numbers now help us tell which ones have been added to Flickr. This will improve efficiency of flickr upload work

Matthew Bolin – got scanning shipment and putting together another one. Diana Shih retired at end of last year. Selection will be done by Mai Reitmeyer.
Alison Harding at NHM – used all of our funds for scanning so now on hold until April. We’ll keep an eye on Gemini.
Harvard Botany – 2 carts went out. We’re happy to gap fill. Talking with Susan Lynch about archival materials and correspondence.
Bianca – lots of experience through both the current CLIR project and via the Staff list.

- Macaw changes seem to have improved speed; seems to be working faster now. A really positive experience.

- Expanding Access - IMLS (Patrick Randall/Mariah Lewis) – no cost extension to the grant. 59 different contributors of in-copyright content. 477 titles. Curation training next week. Patrick and Mariah will be hosting an EABL table at ALA Midwinter. Training for Atlanta History Center, DE Natural History Museum, and at San Diego Zoo and LA Arboretum and NHM of LAC.
- NDSR grant (Connie Rinaldo/Joe deVeer) – 2 main things – all of the residents are in place at the various institutions. Very happy their work is now officially underway. BHL Boot Camp for the residents on Feb 1 and 2. Richard Hulser - Marissa Kings working on digital libraries. At museum, doing strategic planning so it’s also very timely at institutional level.
- CLIR Field Notes Project (Adriana Marroquin) – digitized 1557 items, 113 of those are paginated and ready to go in BHL. IA collection has a few more so pending weekend ingest we’ll look forward to those. Few copyright things that came up and monitoring those with Bianca’s help. We’ll be discussing those on the next project call. Will be analyzing our progress. AMNH, Field, Harvard Bot, Harvard MCZ, MBG, NYBG, SIA and SIL. Internet Archive. MVZ at Berkeley and Yale Peabody Museum.
- Arcadia Smithsonian Field Books Project – Staffing changes - Lesley Parilla has selected an original cataloging position at Smithsonian Libraries and a digitization tech accepted another position at SI. So working on filling those positions. Adriana will be taking on project management duties and will be providing updates on that project going forward.
