The BHL Collections Committee has arrived at a final version of a diagram to quickly illustrate the nature of BHL collections. The purpose of the diagram is to communicate with various user groups about BHL "core" and "supporting" subject areas. In addition, the diagram will be used to guide the writing of a collection development policy. Many people have been involved over weeks of deliberation to develop a visualization based on Library of Congress Subject Headings. The terms selected are a representative sample of the BHL subject areas and are not intended to be comprehensive. Should you have any questions or comments, please send them to me, crowleyb@si.edu, and I will pass them onto the Committee for consideration.
