The meetings will begin at noon on Wednesday (11/4). IC members who arrive earlier are encouraged to attend the morning session of the BHL Library Staff meeting
ROOM INFORMATION
A block of rooms has been reserved for you to book with the
Capitol Hill Suites http://www.capitolhillsuites.com/ located just a Metro stop or lovely walk away from the Natural History Building. Room rates are a special government rate @ $207/night + tax.
Individuals must
call in and reserve rooms no later than October 22, 2009 by calling reservations at 1-800-619-9468 and referencing Smithsonian Institution – Biodiversity Heritage Library. Reservations received after 5:00pm local time at the hotel on above date listed will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit, or guaranteed with a major credit card.

1 p.m. Welcome by Cathy Norton, BHL IC Vice Chair, and Opening remarks by Dr. Cristián Samper, Director of the National Museum of Natural History.

2:00 Review of agenda and Presentation of the recent BHL Staff meeting results and recommendations. (Include recommendation if still valid from the BHL QA “Summit)

3:30 Report on BHL Finances and current fund-raising; Cathy Norton. Members will be asked to briefly report on library resources (staff or funds) expended on BHL work, ongoing BHL-related grants, or planned grant proposals for BHL-related work.
