Christine Giannoni has unpolished internal instructions for this (available upon request), but the basic workflow is this:
  1. OCLC WMS has functionality to create a local collection within Metadata / Collection Manager module. Searching via OCLC number, a collection of records we wish to export can be created and specifically named for this purpose.
  2. Once this local collection is created, the files can be grabbed via an FTP site (which requires a userid and password). MARCEdit is used to extract an individual file for each catalog record.
  3. These extracted MARC records are emailed as attachments to the IA staff member, along with a completed Partner Meta App form.
  4. According to IA, sending along these records in this manner adds 1 step to their workflow, therefore we send very small shipments at this time. About 15-18 items in a batch.
