If we were to mine OCR for locations, you could get a lot of them. Place names might be facets.
Publication Place is low priority.
Place names in titles and subjects definitely of interest.
Place names from full text is also of high interest, but that is it's own project
Place of publication can be useful but maybe not worth modifiying all in the 260 fields, or 260 a
Language can be a proxy in some instances for place of publication
All tabs will use ES
Articles
Could make these a facet rather than a tab
Scholarly communication 19th C, published first in a larger publication. Then as reprints. In BHL, as monographs and then reprint and an article. From users pov, kind of artificial as the content is the same.
Trish - also in favor of dropping tab.
When present to test users, can determine if this is a good way forward
Yes, let's go forward with dropping the tab, merge together, and then make faceting an option.
Mike will index them together so can display them together or not
Change tab name to 'Publications'
Possible long term enhancement -
Separate out genus
Could approach the core now; things that are essential for going live. Scientific names might be something that we could come back to in a year or two from now.
Author names
Will get to it with authority files.
Full text search will highlight
