Batch updates

Cataloging Group - there are a couple of changes that they have in mind that would be global changes across BHL. None are urgent but all are important. Need to track changes and keep manageable.
If we kept track of all changes that various changes that are wanted in one place, we might be able to minimize how many times each item needs to be updated.

Mike asked Martin his thoughts on utility of METS files and waiting to hear if it makes sense to maintain those.

Are they our official digital preservation strategy?

But we can only control BHL Partner contributed material; there's also the harvested/ingest content. Who has ever used those METS files?

Set to move to SI tomorrow! Once moved do we need to keep maintaining those?

Switching to DNS tomorrow morning. DNS entries already set up in SI name servers. Joel has verified. Mike can double check, who is on si.edu

EABL Tech updates/questions
Not much at this time. Authority problem for articles, understand it can't be fixed as part of this grant. Started talking with Rod if could use an unused field in RIS metadata to suggest creator ID. Discussion still ongoing; could lead to a request down the line, so just fyi at this point.

Mike will give this some thought in meantime.
