  1. OCR sync - recap. IA made changes which resulted in invalid OCR. They made a code fix to prevent more invalid OCR. They are now re-deriving those which are invalid. BHL ingest is on hold until the files that require re-derivation are corrected. Avoiding ingest will prevent more clean-up on our end. The unknown is how long it will take IA to re-derive. If it will be less than a week, we should continue as we were. If it will drag on, we might consider adding a check of derivation date to the ingest code. We would want to select material that pre-dates bad code and post-fix.


  2. Full text remaining tasks:
    1. API v3, others? See also 60893. 60527? First cut. Will send to Joel and Susan for feedback. If it looks good, should be able to launch pretty quickly. Updating to take advantage of full text, removing things that might no longer be useful. If looking to overhaul, will take a lot longer. Continue as it's going.
    2. Admin site changes - can work those in around other work. Not time sensitive.
  3. Transcriptions
    Does Mike's initial work include scientific name data mining?
In the context of transcription text?
When we upload transcriptions, will it be passed through name-finder. Yes, they will be passed through name-finder.

Policy - Will this be self-service? In other words, could Susan or Ricc go to admin dash to upload transcription text? Yes, will be part of admin site.

Will institutions be able to upload multiple times (i.e., full replacements)? Yes.
