Agenda

Update on Article Ingest
Testing and making updates last week
All requirements implemented and ready for testing
A couple of suggestions from feedback
A few minor errors Mike will be resolving
6-8 other things that not sure if we want to implement

Testing
Ability to look at log files generated by tool
Shows us the test that we're taking to completion, i.e., articles that were applied to the database
It's possible that add'l testing done but not taken final step, then becomes impossible to see in log file
Susan - culling large amounts of article level metadata and making available to people willing to test
Diane Rielinger tested including with some of her own metadata
and to Marissa Kings

Early indications are that some users are finding it overly complex
Not sure if there's a solution because of nature of task
Requests for sample workflows

Possibility that Mariah Lewis might be able to do a video for this

Susan would like to do a lot more testing

Thumbnail included - to take person to the end page, and to additional pages.

Thing 1
First, last, and additional (plates?)
Start page should be sufficient

Thing 2
When we didn't have page ids, the process that tries to find items based on page numbers - it would not know whether to use page 1 or plate 1. Use page or no prefix at all.
Susan - agree that it is particularly important to select just ones with page. Would be helpful to user without risk of introducing errors.

If you look for those 3 situtations, should address everythign or almost everything.

Thing 3
Fields that expand all of the data. Suggestion about whether all of that needed to be shown.
Do we really need to show publisher info in file during import process?
It's ok the way it is now

Thing 4
Formatting of preview page
Way to quickly verify that you have the mappings right
Display can get squished
Just a stylesheet issue
Should be simple
Go ahead

Thing 5
Series belongs on main display page
Susan is fine with it being in expanded section

Thing 6
Start page, sortable by user. Or filter?
Sort is fine

Thing 7
Select file dialog
If a text file, only show .txt in folder browsing
in some browsers, not recognizing that
Saying some strange custom files (Chrome)
Take fltering off and shwo all by default?
Or??
Prevent people from uploading a different file by mistake?
Thought it would make it easier if you want to load excel files, just filter to excel
If we want to default all, that's fine.
Preference not to do filtering
Something common to ILS (Sierra)
Simplest from implementation and not a burden

Double quotes - Mike will be making that change
Susan using OpenRefine a lot, and it slips in quotes in really insidious ways
It appears that there are none but then in 1 or so it's buried a double quote in for some random rule
Mike will go ahead and strip out double quotes, looking at first and last characters of a field

Suggestion to only consider start page of article and not end page for resolution
For flagging as duplicate
Could get false positives if two start on same page
Would help eliminate if people define end differently (ie on blank pages)
Makes sense as long as in documentation its clear that they can and should override if it's a false positive, esp if override is a single click
