Agenda
- Full Text
- Update on last week's work - test plan and first test; cleaning up some issues around DOI and other searches, such as diacritics. Might need to use an analyzer through indexing process. Are we searching.txt files? in Unicode? Searching metadata as well and txt should be UTF-8.
- Anything needed from the group
- Plan for this week - investigating diacritics issues; will start looking into formalizing indexing process if time permits;
- Blog migration - Grace working on last fixes for data. Going to run one last on accessibility ; TRB On 2/27 and should be able to start to push to production on 3/5. They do want us to present. Opportunities to look at before live.
- Based on Susan's recommendations, finalize how we will proceed (i.e., implement a stop gap plan and/or identify where in timeline this will fit for addressing more thoroughly.)
Check for Susan's updated version to add to Gemini. Carolyn will create a Gemin issue for us to revisit in summer to determine how to move beyond stop gap. Might be of particular interest to Partners with their in-house publications.
Other topics
60 TB new at SI - Joel is backing up what we have in IA, should be complete in a couple of months.
Beth Stern - planning future needs for data at SI. Mentioned BHL will one day have need for x. Joel and Beth will talk with her in March.
IIIF? She's probably aware.
Waiting on Root Cause Analysis for server being down. Carmen is working on it. All told, down time was about an hour for BHL. For much of the time we were able to take PDF requests and they just sat until back online.
Head of IT of Natural History - concerned about lack of response.
Technical Discussion for Annual Meeting - Martin may be requesting some facts and figures.
Joel knows w/in 5 minutes if BHL is down; monitors 5-10 minutes to determine if blip; if not, looks into it.
Joel can add Mike to it.
