Re: External content (e.g, Brazil, some AMNH and their Space content) — Does Holding Institution make sense for external content? In this context, Holding Institution is where being served from. Consensus that would be appropriate

Mike was conducting tests in both ES and SOLR. Network error caused to stop over the weekend

For both, underlying is Lucene

Joel: We would be ok with 1 server for awhile
If 4-5 years down the road, we need more capacity we could add one at that point

ES is looking better today, SOLR may be catching up

MRK: Let’s go with ES.

Search analysis
Advanced search only 4% of searches
Article searches least frequent. Users may not understand how articles work in BHL.
Reprints - sometimes line between monograph and segment is artificial. users don’t understand that

Once full text is implemented, we would like to have a global search (over existing field plus indexed OCR) and provide facets for limiting results.

HathiTrust may be a good model. There are buttons to indicate if you want to search metadata or full text.
