BHL
Migration of CB content to BHL -
JStor content – still have to determine how to get content from IA. Martin will be meeting with JSTOR Week of Sept 22nd and will ask about

Do we want to start process of shutting down CB? And doing a home page redirect Lets wait til all content is complete. Google Analytics indicates – very few users of site e.g. For the last month, BHL has had roughly 13,000 pageviews per day, and Citebank has had just under 200. Redirect to exact page as they were seeing in CB, or redirect to home page in BHL.
Bianca recommends not waiting or JSTOR to shut down and redirect Citebank. Come up with text for redirect and give to Mike Westmoreland. Bianca will work on the language. Could he use a firewall to do redirect page so we don’t need to have a server up for just that page.
GNRD name service won’t stay up and running - status still the same. New content is getting indexed but indexing of old stuff has been shut down.
GBIF meeting last week – synchronizing process of assigning DOIs. DataCite Denmark will provide DOIs for everything with no cost. Even DOIs for search results but may not keep more than one year.
Fabiana no longer FT on BHL at SCIELO
Rod is complaining about BHL Europe being down
JIRI at Smithsonian this week to train folks on the Exhibition tool
William asked if BLE being replicated or being used via servers at Natural History Museum Prague and yes, Bianca confirmed with Jiri that web-based tool being used out of Prague and not being replicated.
MARC mappings document status? Meeting this week with Bianca and William
Next steps on discussing the display of Abstract/Notes? Mike did some mockups – has anybody looked at them for feedback? William doesn’t know if he sent them. Bianca is happy to put this on the collections committee agenda for next calls. To handle inserting Abstracts for Segments and Notes fields from MARC for Titles separately. Have on Collections Committee agendas to discuss Abstracts on Oct 6 and Notes fields 2 weeks later.

Art of Life
Next steps with Kalev’s content
1) Need list of IA ids for 2.5 million images already uploaded to compare with BHL content. (Martin sent request to Robert at IA but he is out til Oct 3rd so will have to wait til after that)
2) value for BHL tag in Flickr - “Biodiversity Heritage Library” and “BHL” (apply to both BHL member and non-member content)

Geoff responsed “Thanks so much for your follow up and the schema - that will be very helpful. I am just in the process of drafting up a list of periodicals in the BHL database which would act as a suitable start - we have a team meeting for Oxford and Leicester scheduled for next Wednesday where we will finalize the list.”
