BHL FB is doing very well and has some good relative numbers. Twitter has not been quite as popular. Twitter demographics are more technie as opposed to FB where we have more "popular" followers. Blog stats up over last quarter. - Scanning Update
GC and GB report same ole same ole; filling Gemini requests; almost all SI requests are done; Smithsoniana materials are more difficult to get at in their new location, but BHL staff are working with NH staff to make the best of the security situation. - Life and Literature
Coming along fine - International Botanical Congress
RE will be attending the IBC and visiting libraries, botanical gardens, in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. One of the topics is electronic publication of taxonomic literature; she will also do a presentation on the TL-2 project. Will be gone for two weeks starting on July 21. - Visit by Chinese Academy of Sciences and Boris Jacob, November 2011
Still a ways off, but we want to start thinking about the visit - Reprints
BC and GC reported that there is a side project organized by Tom Garnett with a volunteer (retired librarian and daughter of a scientist) who wants to donate a reprint collection of her father's work. - ASSI&T
GC has had a presentation accepted for the fall meeting of ASSI&T meeting in New Orleans. The topic is about blogging.
