- Status of NH Main monographs loading (kt)
Has not yet occured; BM received the extract from George Bowman in early January - BHL user survey! Suggestions for users you would like to target. (ejt, bl, gc)
Looking very good; based on the BHL-E survey; working group on the survey has been very well organized; the group will target a group of potential users; it will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Members of the group were John Mignault, Matt Person, GD, ET, BL, SP were worked on it. Gil and Robin talk to some NH curators. There will be a "quiet phase" where people are asked to take it followed by a larger announcement. - FYI collections updates (if time):
- Monographic review of pre-scanning starting up again
There is money in the contract to take care of monographic problems; continue to send to SCP and BM - Presentations coming up
- ER&L. GD and ET will present on issue tracking at the ER&L conference in Austin, TX (Feb 2)
- CIL. BL and ET will do a similar presentation at CIL in Crystal City (Apr 13)
- Kirtas POD experiment
ET and GD showed the sample Kirtas POD - JSTOR Cooperation
Chris Freeland and Tom Garnett are meeting with JSTOR staff in NYC (January 27) to discuss ways in which to share metadata between JSTOR and BHL - SIL Seidell Update
Moving along with metadata person, new camera - OCLC Issues
OCLC is still working on legal issues related to ingesting BHL content - Institutional Council Meeting
The BHL IC will meet in NYC at AMNH on March 22; the IC is composed of directors or their designates of the 12 BHL libraries - BHL monographs added into SIRIS
Over 4,000 titles were added to SIRIS; there are about 250 problem titles that need to be looked at; SCP, ET, BL, GDC will review - Global BHL
