AGENDA
Pulling materials
BHL will stop pulling systematically from NH as of July 28; but will continue doing gap fills; materials will return to the shelves as they return (about 250 total items are out and might be back this month); GT will check when BHL should stop shelving.
GC and ET will work with John Dick to get a list of Smithsonian Translation titles for forthcoming scanning. KT will look into a "no known copyright" tag for these titles.
Update on new workflow for in house scanning update
KT reports that the new camera is fully assembled; staff received training on July 27; KT is happy with the software development, Joel Richard is about 1/3 of the way through the code; the main pieces of the software are: 1) metadata collection and reformatting: pagination, zfetch data from picklist, create xml files; 2) process and move images: create derivative jp2s images from the CR/tiff files, match images with metadata, insert missing pages; and 3) packaging and shipping: batch upload files to IA, send to DAMS (or wherever we need to send it). All 3 pieces work together to maintain workflow and tracking consistency
