Agenda Items
- Update on planning for the NYBG Quality Assurance Summit (GD, ET)
There will be a QA summit in NYC at the NYBG on June 18-19; there will be participants from all the users of IA scanning facilities (except for NHM). Attending from SIL will be Erin Thomas and Grace Duke and Keri. Bianca Lipscomb will also attend. - Shipment for June 18: Who's Gonna Be Around!
- Where are we in pulling and putting back? (GD, ET)
Mollusks serials; books still returning from various areas; - Update on Guidelines for monographs requested for digitization "On Demand" (BL, MK)
We don't really know; it's a bigger question; BL doesn't want an email based system - Status of information back to SIRIS (SP, BM)
Gil felt there was an interest from RS for this to happen; it could also be of use to ILL; SP suggested that we move forward with the plan currently on the table to add all SIL owned and scanned monographs. - Smithson Society Luncheon
NEG gave a presentation on SIL and BHL to the James Smithson (~80 people); about 68 of them attended a tour of the BHL scanning room and Cullman Library. Thanks to Erin Thomas, Grace Duke, Keri Thompson, Erin Rushing, and Daria Wingreen-Mason.
