SIL April 22 2009
Courtney, just to reiterate since I think it is very important for the NPS staff and for the curators to know, the BHL scanning project does not remove any material from any collection without charging it out in the SIRIS Circulation module.
Books do not even leave the collection space without being checked out. If a book is not on the shelf and you suspect it is being digitized, please check SIRIS.
Thanks,
Martin

Have these been removed from the Mammals Library. There is much concern.

In the mammals library we had all volumes except 1846. Now many are missing, and this in the past few months. Are any being digitized?

We put them in order, after Storrs Olson couldn't find some. Indeed, there do seem to be a few missing, some we never had. Vols are listed in SIRIS. I believe the area of interest is the 1850's.

There are scattered volumes of the Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London missing from the shelves in Mammals. Where are they and will they be returned?
