Executive Committee Notes October 12, 2017

Attendance:

• Connie Rinaldo, Jane Smith, Doug Holland, Nancy Gwinn

Connie reported on the joint tech and NDSR meeting at MOBOT in September. Connie noted that at the tech meeting, there was consideration of potentially adding a developer for BHL at some point.
Connie passed along Bob Corrigan's caution about help from Egypt but also expressed a tiny bit of optimism because the Tech team worked pretty hard on the work plan that will include the team from Egypt. The plan is to have a product manager who will keep the mixed team of tech staff from Bib Alex, Mike and Joel moving forward and be a go between with the EC.
The EC was on board with the idea of a product manager but would like to see the job description, work plan and financial plan before we send the suggestion for a product manager to the members.
The EC supports holding off on creating a rushed strategic plan We would like to plan better and determine what might be a bigger leap beyond the status quo.
We also talked about a face to face meeting in London. We were coalescing around early December—Nancy will be in the UK for a meeting at the end of November.
