Tech meeting 10/19/15

BHL general
DOIs - Martin says on hold til William gets back and we can talk about Rod’s input. Need to talk to Cross Ref. Martin is rethinking.
GNRD update – Martin said we need to revisit bringing name finding service back into BHL. Dima is leaving EOL and going to Univ of Illinois. EOL has not been able to deliver on their promises
Adm dashboard – Bianca asked if have ID from EOL could enter a name on a page in dashboard. If you have a different ID Mike can enter it into database.
Staff meeting
BHL Egypt is attending – but they are technically oriented so not sure how much they will get out of the meeting.
All sessions everyone will attend except for maybe training.
Tech wishlist. Trish workflow list could be included here. Martin’s plan is to run it by Exec Committee and then have Trish present to staff (staff will not get to prioritize these items but can comment on them). 30 mins for that should be fine. Call it Status of grant-funded activities.
Request for BHL technical infrastructure overview as related to the portal – 30 mins (mike, William, Joel) will do presentation

Purposeful Gaming
Finally got an iMLS blog post on the games.
Challenge at beginning of next week to try and get 10k players to play for 60 mins
Are working with WeDigBio folks to have them plug the games once WeDigBio ends.

Science Gossip –
Our challenge post went out last week and we got 75k classifications. Only 25k more towards the goal
