- Additional Topics for BHL-AU/SG Call
- TDWG/SPNHC in New Zealand. With the joint meeting in New Zealand, The EC would like to explore the opportunities to have a side meeting with staff from the region that might be available. Overlaps with IFLA
- Ely met with Auckland Museum, they have a very large library. Getting a new librarian. Written BHL into the job description. Encouraged to get organized by August when EC will be nearby. Could be a side trip to Auckland.
- New Head of Research and Collections at MV from Dunedin and very interested in BHL, very interested to see how he can be involved.
- Secretariat Update
- 2019 Annual Meeting. Martin will issue the call for hosting the 2019 meeting in early January.
- Visit to Panama. As part of the Smithsonian Libraries 50 Years Together celebration kicking off in 2018, Martin attended the SIL celebration at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute Library along with SIL senior staff and Barbara Ferry (Head of Natural and Physical Sciences). The STRI Library staff did a great job of highlighting BHL in both the library tours and in the formal presentations.

- Collaborations update. Still working to finalize collaboration with BHL Egypt. Gildas Illien has offered to broker discussions with the BnF for technical advise/guidance.
