6/22/15 Tech meeting
Mike, Trish, Bianca, Martin

BHL Search
Bianca and Mike talked about search issues on Friday. 2 different search functionalities employed. Bib md on SQL server full text. Science names is not run on that server. Noise words that are being ignored (e.g. single character words) are causing some issues. Martin has list of stop words used in ILS he can share with Mike.

DOIs for articles
We have harvested DOIs but not displaying them yet for articles. Mike added column about those with DOIs according to Rod Page’s database. Bianca will find and send more examples to Mike

Character encoding issues between BHL and IA
Bianca noticed Encoding between ILS and IA is off. E.g.
o and e is smooshed togetherexternal image placeholder?w=209&h=50
Problem is Character encoding translation between systems
IA has fixed it on their end through their upload process and fixed the individual records
