Some slowness issues when opening large books in Macaw – trying to pinpoint why

Purposeful Gaming
Gaming Bids in – taskforce will discuss them this Wed 1pm CST
Trish will outline a Rating system/Criteria – will need this so we can all rate them the same and need for auditing purposes (according to Dianne Schmitt in Finance)
Harvard has finished setting up Transcription tools are ready and will be advertised to general public via MVZ blog and BHL blog this next week.
Mining Biodiversity
Project Officially started, Canadians haven’t attended meetings yet, they sent a report on BHL media to the team May 24th that they will present at Friday’s meeting
Community Manager June 17th hiring. 14 months at 25% time
Jen will be looking at vocabs and coming up with use cases.

Uploading CItebank data – what are next steps to moving to production? Mike Added abstract and notes field and made changes to db and will make to adm site. Still need to address how to link pdfs. Mike says to map filename to URL field for now. He will figure out how to bring in content files later.
BHL PDF problems – William following up with IT when they happen, different problems – sometimes emailing, sometimes access to files. Process has worked fine for years but seems to be affected by aging tech infrastructure at MOBOT.
Mike started on data model documentation for BHL
CrossRef meeting – they are offering 6 cents for treatments and 12 cents for articles
Other
TDWG – moving conference from Kenya due to government issued travel warnings. Might be Sweden or Costa Rica. William’s funding will come from MBIO or BHL funds.
Global BHL - Abel from Brazil was in DC. Are using Macaw successfully. They will host Global meeting in May 2015
