Tech Review 1/13/14
Present: William, Mike, Trish

Trish

Art of Life
- Trying to set up weekly standing meeting
- Doing some testing of uploading of JSON files to Macaw.
- Mike L waiting on Kyle for feedback on export files from IA – current export files from algorithm are different from samples files he sent previously. E.g. Pixel depth, status field. Mike needs to know about those two fields that Kyle eliminated. For example, Kyle eliminated a field of “processing complete” that Mike used.
- Question for Kyle - Where is persistent place where can always go to grab data?
- William asked Trish about the Macaw version performance and Trish said it is acceptable although she hasn't loaded too many. We might need to get additional functionality to see all someone has classified.

Purposeful Gaming
- Trish and William met with Doug and Mike B. last week to talk about their scope of work and Mike’s role in the project.
- Service agreements – agreement with NYBG is complete, sent Harvard their Scope of work and waiting for Connie to respond it looks OK, need to send Cornell a service agreement
- RFP – Trish will put together a rough outline of what needs to be included in it and run by William
- Webwise – William will not be going. We have money for 3-4 folks to attend from MOBOT. Is Mike L. interested? Trish send Mike info on conference

CBI
- William and Trish will meet this week to determine how much of each of our time needs to be devoted to our projects

Mike
-Taking care of Gemini issues and low hanging fruit. Working on Adm citation importer. OAI harvesting can it be turned on? Still waiting on Connie to respond.

William
- Not going to Australia global meeting instead the hackathon for NESCENT in North Carolina. Martin, Nancy & Connie for the BHL-US/UK, Jiri for BHL-Europe, Fenghong and Dr. Cui for BHL-China, Dr. Magdy Nadi for BHL-Egypt, Abel and Fabiana for BHL-Brazil, and of course, Ely and a technical representative for BHL Australia. Hackathon is beginning of Feb, John Mignault will be attending. William going to iproBiosphere in mid Feb in Europe. Out Feb 4th – 12th. What about outstanding issues with BHL-AUS? - Images and metadata synchronization; also the Article information. Mike wondered could we be setup so that Mike can update the AUS data model when we make a change? They don’t have anyone tasked to do this work. Their db serves as a metadata backup for us and because Atlas of Living Australia pulls data from it.
- Will flesh out the IMLS workflow document more identifying the tools and technology
