Installing Solr Standalone Server

Installing solr as self contained standalone server. The configuration for the solr cores will be taken directly from the local git clone.

wget http://apache.cs.uu.nl/dist//lucene/solr/3.3.0/apache-solr-3.3.0.tgz
tar -xtf apache-solr-3.3.0.tgz
cd /mnt/nfs-demeter/dev/apache-solr-3.3.0/example/solr

# configure the cores

rm -rf conf
rm solr.xml
ln -s /mnt/nfs-demeter/dev/opt/portal/drupal/solr/solr.xml solr.xml
mkdir core1
mkdir core2
cd core1
ln -s /mnt/nfs-demeter/dev/opt/portal/drupal/solr/core1/conf/ conf
cd ../core2
ln -s /mnt/nfs-demeter/dev/opt/portal/drupal/solr/core2/conf/ conf
cd /mnt/nfs-demeter/dev/opt/portal/drupal/solr/
mkdir lib
cd lib
ln -s ../../../dist/apache-solr-dataimporthandler-3.3.0.jar apache-solr-dataimporthandler-3.3.0.jar
