MCZ

scanning (2 days ago 1 shipment went out) - 1 ready to go
retrospective QA for permissions titles
QA methodology
portal edits: Loading issues with insertion of vols. into enum & chron - order of vols. disrupted w/ insertion despite edits

Field

SIL

QA issues w/ missing pages
sending shipments every week ~ 200 books/wk

QA

Need wiki pages for Reject Criteria (comparing BHLers to IA) and QA overview of issues encountered and methodology
SIL's method of QA using statistical sample follows IAs QA - to be meeting with DC scanning center to address discrepancies
Moderate agreement about meeting for QA summit in NYC TBD

Portal Enumeration & Chronology Editing

Details to be discussed during Portal Editing Conf Call on 4/30, such as:
It would be helpful for Mike L. to illustrate how each institution's vols. are displaying in the Portal -- perform analysis of enum & chron display in portal against each institution's catalog
Ideally, everything should look the same for users, clean & crisp, standards, standards, standards esp. re: communication b/w portal and bid-list
Need to est. portal editor guidelines, esp. for gap fills - generally speaking portal editors should make the enum & chron consistent within each title based on the original contributing institution's enum & chron standard display in the portal
Communication, communication, communication

Portal Requests

Institutions that can fill portal requests and/or gap-fills amongst themselves should continue to do so, but if not they can send the requests to Bianca
Please CC Bianca for all portal request/gap-fill issues

CiteBank

Erin Thomas, Bianca Lipscomb, John Mignault, and Don Wheeler to help serve as a test group (Grace Duke as well)

Frankenbooks

Use as last resort - only in case where a rejection cannot be supplanted with a request of another institution
Survey sent out to taxonomic community for feedback
Physical Frankenbook Ex. (Don Wheeler): monograph complication of journal articles on given family w/ hyphenated pagination
Scan incomplete vols. as they are - how scholars would work with physical collection anyway
