The BHL Logo
- Below are some examples of the proposed BHL logo for your consideration.
- Here are two PDF files showing some palette variations on the logo theme. Note that one of them show how the insitution's name could be added to the logo design
- Please use the "Discussion" tab on this page to add your thoughts and comments on the proposed logo.
- Please read the concept section (to the right) that will explain some of the thought behind the logo.
- Do not be too concerned about the specific color palette in the examples below. As noted in the Concept section, these are examples and that multiple palettes will be made available.
- Please consider the possible uses for the logo (websites; business cards, stationary; blog badges; etc.). Will these formats work for those purposes? Will they resize properly for these purposes?
- Any other thoughts or comments?

Concepts:
- BHL initials in a clean, san-serif font
- Five blocks representing the five kingdoms of life
- BHL spelled out in certain layouts for added impact
- Color palettes are for example only; if this logo layout is approved, there will be a variety of palettes for the logo that can be used in various locations depending on the color of the material/website that it is being used on
- "lockup" specs will be generated for the logo; these will specify the palettes to be used, the "clear" areas that should be left between the logo and other text or graphics, etc.
- One version of the logo will have transparent boxes that will allow the user to add appropriate images behind the boxes for added impact
- Examples of the logo in grayscale are also provided
