2016.12.20 NDSR Minutes

December 20, 2017
Trish, Doug, Carolyn, Richard, Connie, Leora, Joe

Agenda

celebrating 5 residents! (are all confirmed? Katie and Marissa and Pamela have confirmed and copied me. Others?) Please check with Alicia and Ariadne about their confirmations. Alicia visited the garden and her work station; it was a good visit and she will come again to meet with the volunteer director as she will be treated as a full-time volunteer. Will need a key card badge with a photo id. Katie Mika visited MCZ.

Digital preservation curriculum? Maybe add to the webinar ideas for the residents: From Mary Alice Ball: "During our orientation/immersion workshops we cover topics like: DCC Curation Lifecycle; NDSA Levels of Digital Preservation; Digital Preservation Tools; Digital Workflows; Project Management; Web Archiving; Digital Formats and Sustainability. Will you be covering that sort of material during your orientation or will you deliver it later on?" Perhaps have the residents design webinars or do informational conference calls.

Put together a short bibliography of things of this type to read.

Connie, Richard, Joe are the only ones interested in the Friday tours.

Lynda.com wrap up: Christine provided stats. Everybody did something. Connie will try to add Joe/Connie stats. It would be nice to be able to opt out of things you test out of.

Christine will stay in the google group. She wants to participate as she can and interact with Alicia at least by giving her a tour of FMNH.
