Secretariat Update (MRK)
- DPLA Membership Update: MRK has spoken with Michele Kimpton (Acting ED of DPLA) and confirmed that BHL can continue as a "content hub" without joining as a dues paying DPLA member.
- XIX IBC 2017. BHL had a successful sympoisum at the XIX International Botanical Congress in Shenzhen, China. See upcoming BHL blog post for full report.
- September Member Call. Will be rescheduled for 21 September. Carolyn will send out a reminder and update.

- Tech meeting Planning. We're agenda planning for the September NDSR/Tech Meeting in St. Louis. Thanks to Doug for hosting

- Update on Strategic Planning.
  - Thank you for the further comments sent in so far to add to those gathered before and during the March 2017 Annual Meeting in Singapore.
  - Carolyn Sheffield and Jane Smith are working on an initial draft based on the comments and ideas, for discussion with the Executive Committee in September and then to circulate and discuss with all Members.
- Working on Partnership possibilities.
  - Oak Spring Garden. Will be applying for BHL Affiliate status.

- IFLA 2017 (Connie, Nancy, Wai Yin, ?)
- GBIF 24 (Connie, Martin)

- TDWG 2017 (Martin, Carolyn, NDSR, ?)
- Linneaus Link and EBHL 2017. Susan Fraser and Judy W. attended the recent EBHL meeting and spoke with Linneaus Link and there will be further partnerships and contacts.
- DLF. Two NDSR residents have had presentations approved
- McGill. Connie has been invited for a fall presentation at McGill.
- Charleston Library Conference. Barbara Ferry had a BHL presentation accepted for the conference.

New Grants Submitted/Received (Connie)
- CLIR II. Smithsonian was invited to submit to the second round of the CLIR Hidden Collections program. Due mid-September.
